TLMC Creation

The TLMC creation option is used to create master aircraft TLMC data files. The aircraft type options are pulled from the master files in the \\ROMXroot\ROMX\mtbo directory. On the C21 program this translates to a file called TBOC21.ADT, or with the C12 program TBOC12.ADT. When you select this type you are given a list of available models. The C21 program has one model (A), whereas the C12 program has many. After you select the model you are presented with a creation dialog.

The first block is the ACFT Serial Number. This is for the manufacturer serial number (or some combination) not the aircraft tail number. For example if your aircraft has a serial number of 500, then we would prefix the designation 35A (Lear Model 35A) to the suffix (Serial Number) 500. This would give us a composite serial number of 35A500 (6 characters). Consistency is the key. All aircraft created need to follow a set of standards (Already set for the C21 program).

The next is the Branch of Service block. Your current available options are AR (ARMY), NA (NAVY), AF (Air Force) and MA (Marines).

After pressing the [ENTER] key you will be prompted to create an aircraft file set. Selecting [Y] will create the aircraft datafile set. After exiting you can return to the aircraft list. A current status file will be generated for the new aircraft and it will display in the list ready to have data entered.
