Modem/Port Setup

Send comments on this topic.

The modem port setup has been defaulted to work with your system. Modifying any parameters will likely have a detrimental impact on your ability to connect. The following fields are available should something require changing.

Serial Port  - Serial port your modem is connected to

Baudrate     - Baudrate of the serial port, not the modem

Parity       - Parity data of the serial port

Databit      - Databit for the serial port

Stopbit      - Stopbits for the serial port

Init String  - Modem Initialization String

Reset String - Modem Reset String

Dial         - Number to your Regional Manager

Dial Prefix  - Dialing Prefix (Tone = ATDT, Pulse = ATDP)

The Dial number is only used for a remote field site (Not the RM’s) to contact his Regional Manager. One other dial number is in your BDM.INI file. It is under the [xfer] header titled-noff. This number is the number to the office. It is a direct link (bypasses the RM) to AOG shipments/updates to the main office server.

It is important to save the data once modified. To do this, press the [PGDN] key and select the [Y] default. All changes are instantaneously updated.
