Add PN to Master

This screen [F9] is a shortcut and allows inserts into the parts master table. You should not arbitrarily add part numbers to the master table without good reason. If you are trying to work with a part number and the program will not validate you should go to the Master Inventory MASTER screen and physically search for the part number. Many time the part number you are trying to enter and the validated Master part number are off by a space, a zero for “O”, or -R or some other little item. Please make sure that the part number you enter is correct (as determined by the Master table).

If you must add a part number do so only with the consent of IDC in Madison. This will be a temporary addition since the Master will be updated to you on a monthly basis. IDC will supply you with the following information.

Part Number - The part number required

Description - Description of the part number

Inventory Type - L-3, COLN, GARR or OTHR

Unit of Measure - UOM of Part Number

Part Group - Part Group of PN (IDC Provided)

Superseded PN - What does this PN supersede to?

Superseded Code - Defined by IDC

Repairable Code - Defined by IDC
