Connect - Send Data

This function is one of the easiest to use. If we assume that the utility Modem/Port Setup has been correctly setup and your modem is turned on, then this program will automatically dial and dump data to your RM’s office.

Should the connection fail, you should try again. If the program ask you to reprocess the existing files you should select NO and carry on. Upon successful completion of the data transfer you will be notified (via window) of the success. Should a failure occur, a RED dialog window will appear telling you that the connection terminated.

You can look in the Journal Manager for a line by line play of your session. In the Journal will be all relevant information that occurred during the start and connection.

Should you not be able to connect to your RM it might be because he is not setup to receive your files at this time. There should be an agreed upon time of the day to dump since they will need to put their machine into a receive state. If you still cannot connect, record the information in the journal and call operations computer services in Madison for help.
